The Bureau of Planning and Sustainability has opened a new recruitment for five upcoming vacancies on the Portland Planning Commission, and we’re hoping to spread the word as widely as possible. While we welcome applicants from all districts, we’re making an extra push for District 1 and District 4, where we currently have limited representation and received fewer applications during the last recruitment cycle.

Planning Commission Application
The Planning Commission serves as City Council’s recommending body for key land‑use decisions, including updates to the Zoning Code and Comprehensive Plan. It’s a meaningful way for community members to help shape the future of Portland’s built environment.
