| Reminder: Metro Central Community Enhancement Grant applications are due September 29th at noon. Metro has more than $280,000 available in grant funding to benefit the neighborhoods of Forest Park, Cathedral Park and Linnton; the Northwest District Association; the Northwest Industrial Area; and an area directly adjacent to the St. Johns Bridge. The grants are awarded annually through the Metro Central Enhancement Program and fund projects that address community needs through improved neighborhood infrastructure and services, enhanced natural areas and recreational opportunities, increased waste prevention, benefit to underserved communities and more. Community organizations, nonprofits, schools and school groups, and government agencies may apply for projects that occur within this grant boundary area.
