Councilor Green transferred $100,000 from his unspent office budget to the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) to invest in low-cost, high-impact pedestrian safety improvements and engineering countermeasures near schools, along pedestrian corridors, and on familiar neighborhood streets. We’re looking forward to highlighting these locations as they’re completed by PBOT. You may have already seen speed limits reduced and posted, new signs added, crosswalks added and repainted, and more. We’ve also prioritized daylighting or vision clearance to help improve pedestrian visibility at intersections. Thanks for suggesting locations and submitting your concerns through PDX Reporter / 311.
