The City of Portland is updating its approach to advisory bodies, committees, and commissions to have more alignment with its new form of government.
On July 22 the first status update of the Advisory Bodies Enhancement Project was published. The update includes the following draft project deliverables:
- Establish a citywide purpose statement
- Update the classification system
- Establish creation guidelines
- Provide for periodic review
- Establish dissolution guidelines
