Services


D4NC offers an array of support services to our constituent neighborhoods and certain community organizations. These services can generally be broken down into 6 areas, with examples of how we deliver these services listed below each:

Administrative Services

  • Serving as a point of contact for general inquiries–walk in, phone, email
  • Financial and Insurance support services.
  • Maintaining and updating membership lists.
  • Receiving and distributing Mail or packages.

Communications and Outreach

  • Registration, security monitoring, and editing/design of websites.
  • Provide and maintain free or low cost print/copy facilities.
  • Maintaining and updating email forwarding lists.
  • Creating and maintaining electronic newsletters.

Neighborhood Elections Support

  • Publicizing election and eligibility information.
  • Preparing and disseminating ballots for neighborhoods.
  • Screening/verifying ballots.
  • Tallying and then reporting election results.
  • Ballot storage

Grant Funding and Administration

  • Operation of the Community Small Grants program.
  • Operation of the “405 grant” program.
  • Promotion of grant programs.
  • Discovery and promotion of other community grant resources.
  • Recruiting of grant committee members.

Program and Technical Support

  • Website and web based application support and consulting.
  • NET team Assistance and Liasion with the Portland Bureau of Emergency Management.
  • Assistance and support completing grant applications.
  • Tool/supply checkout.

Community Education and Empowerment

  • Coordinating or hosting public workshops and training events.
  • Coordinating or hosting Board member focused training events and workshops.
  • Facilitating advising, networking, and information sharing between community partners, District Four neighborhoods, other coalitions, and City government.

Our aim in providing these services is to inform and empower District Four constituent neighborhoods and allied community organizations to be independent and self reliant in preparation for meeting common questions and challenges.
