June Micro Grants Now Open!!

District Four Coalition has $7,293 available for a special round of fast-turnaround June Micro Grants for community-based organizations serving Portland’s 4th District.

Applications open May 10 and close May 31 at 11:59 PM. Awards will be reviewed by D4C staff and recipients will be announced by June 8.

Because of the short timeline, this opportunity is intended for small, ready-to-go projects that can be completed quickly and clearly benefit communities within D4C’s service area.

Award amount

Organizations may request $300–$749.

Requests are capped below $750 so they may be reviewed and approved through D4C’s existing staff-approved mini grant process.

Eligible applicants

Community-based organizations, neighborhood associations, grassroots groups, identity-based organizations, youth and faith organizations, and other community-serving groups may apply.

Applicants must either have nonprofit/tax-exempt status or work with a fiscal sponsor. D4C may be able to help connect applicants with fiscal sponsorship options when needed. Grants are not made to individuals.

Priority will be given to projects that:

  • Serve communities within Portland’s 4th District or D4C boundaries.
  • Engage historically underrepresented or underserved communities.
  • Build community connection, leadership, preparedness, civic engagement, or care for the local environment.
  • Are simple, feasible, and ready to implement quickly.
  • Have a clear budget and clear community benefit.

Examples of eligible projects

Eligible projects may include community gatherings, outreach materials, translated communications, neighborhood cleanups, emergency preparedness activities, community education events, civic engagement projects, social justice-focused activities, volunteer support, small supplies, event costs, printing, signage, outreach, or other project-specific expenses.
